This Cleveland Heights yard had a real problem - no privacy, no defined layout, and ground that needed serious work before anything else could happen. We started from the ground up. The yard was regraded and seeded for new grass, with straw laid down to protect the seed and hold moisture while it establishes.

Once the grading was sorted, we got to work on the fence. We ran a full wood privacy fence along the property line, built with solid posts and double horizontal rails that give each panel serious structural backing. The boards are tight, the posts are plumb, and the whole run holds a clean, consistent line from one end to the other.

The gate is where a lot of fence jobs cut corners - and it shows over time. We framed this one with a proper diagonal brace running corner to corner. That cross-brace is what keeps a wood gate from sagging and dragging after a few seasons. It's not the flashiest detail, but it's the kind of thing that separates a gate that still swings right five years from now from one that doesn't.

We also tied the fence into a driveway gate to give the whole yard a complete, contained feel. The property went from open and overlooked to private and actually usable. That's the goal every time - not just putting boards in the ground, but thinking through how the whole space functions when we're done.

If your yard is in a similar spot - open to the neighbors, uneven ground, no real sense of boundary - this is exactly the kind of work we do. Fence services, grading, seeding - we handle it together so you're not coordinating three different crews to get one result.
