A lot of Cleveland homeowners want privacy without making their yard feel closed off. A shadow box fence is a great option because it looks solid from straight on but still allows air to pass through.
This project was a full 6-foot fence running along the side of the house and around the backyard. We had to work around garden beds and tighter areas, so post placement and keeping everything level was key.
We used pressure-treated lumber throughout, which protects against rot and insects. The green tint will fade over time to a natural gray.
The shadow box design gives a clean, finished look on both sides, which is important in tighter neighborhoods. The dog-eared pickets also help shed water and hold up better over time.
Overall, this fence adds privacy, defines the space, and is built to last with minimal maintenance.
